Citation Policy

Unless otherwise noted, Biomechanics Consulting and Research, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “Biocore”) reserves all rights to all of the copyrightable Content on and within www.biocorellc.com (the “Site”). We also own the trademarks for our name and logo and other source identifiers. Other trademarks appearing on our Site are the property of their respective owners.

While we encourage you to use the Content in accordance with the relevant Terms and Conditions, we must ensure that the Content is afforded proper citation as detailed below in all cases where it is used publicly. Citation Guidelines

If you cite or display any Content, or reference our organization, in any format, written or otherwise, including print or web publications, presentations, grant applications, websites, other online applications such as blogs, or other works, you must follow these Citation Guidelines.

General Guidance

Primary publication

In cases where there is a primary publication about a specific resource on our Site, cite both the publication and the Site. The citation of the primary publication is essential when citing the resource in a scientific publication. In cases where it is not feasible to cite the primary publication, and only in such cases the Site citation is sufficient on its own.

Citation in published works

In publications presenting studies that utilize finite element models downloaded or otherwise accessed from our Site, cite the primary publication and the Site.  Also, include the following in an Acknowledgement:

“This study utilized model(s) licensed from Biomechanics Consulting and Research, LC (Biocore), model(s) derived therefrom, or both.  The development of those model(s) was made possible by a grant from Football Research, Inc. (FRI) and the National Football League, with input from the NFLPA.  The views expressed are solely those of the authors and do not represent those of Biocore, FRI, or any of its affiliates or funding sources.”

In publications presenting studies that utilize data or other resources downloaded from our Site, cite the primary publication and the Site.  Also, include the following in an Acknowledgement:

“This study utilized data obtained from Biomechanics Consulting and Research, LC (Biocore).  The views expressed are solely those of the authors and do not represent those of Biocore or any of its affiliates or funding sources.”

All capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein have the meanings ascribed to them in our Terms and Conditions.
