Mr. Hicks earned an MS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2023, where he studied both human and animal locomotion. He has extensive laboratory experience conducting motion capture experiments and developing musculoskeletal models to answer a variety of research questions. His research has also included the use of motion analysis to assess movement quality and quantify functional recovery following injury and intervention.
