Dr. Daniel Perez-Rapela has 15 years of experience specializing in biomechanics and simulation methodologies. Daniel graduated with a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia at the Center for Applied Biomechanics where he developed a methodology that enables the use of automated large-scale parametric studies to explore variability and uncertainty in simulated responses. Before his PhD, Daniel worked as a simulation engineer in the development of Volkswagen vehicles for the European and North American market. Currently, as the owner of Human Injury Consulting and Research LLC, he pioneers virtual testing methodologies for the automotive field and consults on multiple simulation projects. His work is reflected in multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
