Dr. Hughes has over 15 years of operations research and systems engineering experience. He also brings a wealth of leadership experience that was developed from 26 years of military service in the U.S. Army as a CH-47D Chinook helicopter pilot and operations research analyst. Dr. Hughes earned a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point in 2001, a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University in 2009, and a Sport Analytics PhD from George Mason University in 2017. Dr. Hughes also taught on the USMA faculty at West Point for a total of six years.
