Evan Mascitti, PhD

Dr. Mascitti has over 10 years of experience in turfgrass science and management. He has worked as a grounds manager in Major League Baseball in addition to roles in the minor leagues and sports field construction. His research and publications have focused on the performance of baseball infield soils and on cultural practices for turfgrass sod production. He earned a B.S. in Geology from Beloit College in 2012, an M.S. in Agronomy from Penn State in 2014, and a PhD in Soil Science from Penn State in 2023.
